Dehydrated Raw Dog Food Hydration Amounts
The Honest Kitchen's dehydrated foods must be hydrated with warm water, before serving. Each 10 pound bag of food will make just over 4 times its weight in fresh food, when hydrated. Honest Kitchen foods hydrate as follows:
4 lbs: Holds about 16 (Verve) to 17 (Keen, Embark, Force & Thrive) cups. Makes about 16 to 17 lbs of fresh food.
10 lbs: Holds about 40 (Verve) to 43 (Keen, Embark, Force & Thrive) cups. Makes about 40 to 43 lbs of fresh food when hydrated.
Feeding Guidelines
The following daily amounts (DRY quantity) should be adjusted to suit your individual dog's requirements, which vary according to age, breed and level of daily activity.
Up to 10 lbs - 1/2 Cup
Up to 30 lbs - 1 Cup
Up to 50 lbs - 2 Cups
Up to 70 lbs - 2 1/4 Cups
