Our Dog Buddha
Born: 5/1/2007Breed: Rottweiler/Blue Tick Coon Hound
You really can't ask for a better dog. He is the epitome of loyal companion, with a heart as big as the ocean and a brain the size of an acorn. Dan Martin, the co-owner of The Animal House adopted the moment he met him as 9 week old puppy at the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. He was just there to drop off a donation, but came with the cutest furry bundle of goofiness.
Buddha, the largest of our dogs, weighs in at only 90 lbs, which is light weight considering he stands almost three feet tall on all fours. He was given the name Buddha to put people more at ease when meeting such large dog, and the name couldn't be a better fit given his always peaceful disposition, even despite the torment his crazy canine siblings inflict upon him. Christmas of 2009 Buddha was given the Merrick General Meaty Bone. He was actually scared of it and wouldn't touch it.
Buddha eats Dogswell Nutrisca Chicken and Chickpea, and favors the Pumpkin and Sage Barkwheats dog treats.
